Seattle and Portland, February 24, 2003 -- The first Printing Industries of the Pacific (PPI) Print Buyers’ conferences, set for Tuesday, May 6 at the West Coast Grand Hotel, Seattle and Thursday, May 8 at the Doubletree Hotel Lloyd Center, Portland are gearing up to be lively times. With the theme “Spice Up Your Business” for these Mardi Gras in May events, the days promise both worthwhile programming for participants and an opportunity for local printers and graphic arts vendors to meet and greet customers and prospects. The first in this series in San Francisco in February this year was an unqualified success with over 91 exhibitors and 1,200 participants.
The six 2003 seminars are listed below and will be repeated at each location. Richard Gorelick will tackle the tough issues in printer/buyer interactions. Lonn Lorenz from Adobe Systems and Lorraine Donegan, a professor at Cal Poly San Luis Obispo, will explore three of the hottest topics in graphic arts production today. While these seminars are aimed at buyers and designers, the topics are relevant to printing company personnel as well.
