IOWA CITY, IA—September 9, 2002 – Today MetaCommunications, Inc. announced the immediate availability of Virtual Ticket 5.0. This new version is a major upgrade to the highly successful Virtual Ticket 4.0 production platform, with more than 50 new features and a comprehensive set of tools designed to support the enterprise environment. MetaCommunications will be demonstrating the software at Seybold San Francisco 2002 (in the MetaCommunications booth #1543) and Labelexpo Americas 2002 (in the Pitman Company booth #5705).
Virtual Ticket 5.0 is an electronic job ticketing and digital asset management software solution for printing, publishing and creative development. The system is designed for graphic arts organizations that need to efficiently manage job information and digital assets. A built-in forms editor and a scripting engine allow organizations to adapt the software to their existing job ticketing systems and workflows, and the system’s new features enable enhanced efficiency, speed and productivity. “With Virtual Ticket 5.0’s new functionality, this powerful production platform is expanding even further into the enterprise workflow and digital asset management market. Pricing and Availability
Virtual Ticket 5.0 is currently available directly from MetaCommunications or through certified partners worldwide. The Virtual Ticket base package starts at $999 (U.S.). Additional concurrent user license packs are available separately, starting at $659 (U.S.) for a single-user license and $2,999 (U.S.) for five users. Upgrades from Virtual Ticket 4.0 are available free of charge for a limited time for customers with Software Assurance and Support, or for those customers who purchased Virtual Ticket 4.0 after July 8, 2002.
