Rampage Annual Maintenance Fee Remains the Same

Press release from the issuing company

The executive committee at Rampage Systems announced that it has no plans to increase the yearly maintenance fee for the Rampage Workflow System. The $1,750 fee, which includes telephone support and free point releases, has increased only twice in the company's 17-year history. It covers all Rampage products, including INKdrop, the Rampage Digital Press Interface (DPI), and Version 2 of Rampage Remote.

"Regardless of configuration size or product mix, we will continue to charge one flat fee for maintenance," stated Kevin McSweeney, Vice President of Sales and Marketing. "We know this is valuable to our customers, and frankly, it's healthy for our business too, as more and more printers are scrutinizing how and where their money is spent." Businesses running an all-in-one Rampage/Server configuration pay a slightly higher fee.

Free Online Group Training

To supplement–not replace–onsite training, Rampage has embarked on another cost saving measure for printers by offering online group training at no cost. Bi-monthly webinars cover features added through point releases or are topical, such as JDF-based Imposition. "Production personnel are typically too busy to experiment with new ways of doing things," notes McSweeney. "These webinars expose them to new ways of increasing efficiency."
