September Print Buyer Pulse: Confidence Matches All-Time Low

Each month, WhatTheyThink.com surveys print buyers to determine their confidence in spending on print over the next six months. The data helps print vendors and buyers track activity on a national scale. Overall, confidence dropped 6% from August with 31% of print buyers saying they expect to spend more in the coming six months on print services. 15% said they would spend less - up from 8% in August. This figure matches April’s 15% as the highest number of buyers predicting a decrease in their print buying. A majority (54%) said their spending would remain the same. WhatTheyThink.com provides news, interviews and research to 15,000 subscribers at its Web site. The company also supplies syndicated content to industry web sites including news feeds, search engines, discussion forums, expert advice and research.
