Pubco Delivers On-Demand Luxury and Eco-friendly Packaging with the HP Indigo 15K Digital Press

Press release from the issuing company

Pubco, a family-owned business with more than 100 dedicated employees that specializes in distinctive packaging, design, and fulfillment with a strong focus on innovation and sustainability, has proudly announced the addition of the HP Indigo 15K Digital Press to its facility in Mirabel, Quebec, on the north shore of Montreal. This investment is representative of Pubco’s continued effort to consistently stay ahead of its competitors in the industry and to provide its customers with the most creative, luxury packaging products available.

Founded in 1995, Pubco began its business mostly serving major cathedrals around the world, with the ability to translate into ten different languages. A few years later, the company designed bookmarks to support breast cancer research and retired military veterans. From there, they expanded into creating timeless coin gift sets sold across Canada, USA, and Europe. Historically, the company has had the ability to do lamination, die cutting, gluing, and injection molding while sourcing printing externally. With the HP Indigo 15K Digital Press, Pubco now brings everything in-house, creating an even more comprehensive suite of services and gaining more insights into the entire printing process, from start to finish.

As a company renowned for its customization and elevated design, Pubco's goal with the HP Indigo 15K Digital Press wasn’t necessarily quantity but rather quality and speed-to-market. A majority of Pubco’s clients offer more high-end consumer products, and the digital press gives the company the opportunity to successfully cater to more niche audiences and print in varying colors on a multitude of stocks and textures. From incorporating rose petals from Great Britain within the packaging to capsules of water from Lourdes, France, Pubco strives to go above and beyond when it comes to packaging to ensure its products are unique, hold a standing impact, and create more of an experience for the customer.

“At Pubco, we elevate luxury brand standards with the introduction of the HP Indigo 15K Digital Press, delivering unparalleled service and quality,” said Patrick Zacard, CEO at Pubco. “As consumer needs evolve and change across the 40 countries we serve, our goal is to remain at the forefront of this transformation where we first set and then break industry standards. By partnering with HP, we’re able to bring peace-of-mind to our customers through our operational agility, speed, and packaging skills,” he added.

By focusing on the smaller quantities of products for its customers, Pubco realized it had an opportunity to do so in a way that was more sustainable. This was a key driver in partnering with HP and harnessing the power of the HP Indigo 15K Digital Press to reduce waste, lower energy consumption, and overall be more cost-effective.
“We’re deeply thrilled that Pubco has chosen to work with us to elevate their offerings, optimize operations, and propel luxury packaging forward. We can’t wait to see the magic they create with the HP Indigo 15K Digital Press as they continue to push the envelope when it comes to the consumer experience,” said Chris Carson, AMS HP Industrial Commercial Director of Sales at HP.

As a unique Canadian supplier that supports products to U.S. and Europe, Pubco is committed to bringing its customer’s creativity to life by offering a completely differentiated service from any other provider in the market.
