Press release from the issuing company

Mimaki UJV100-160Plus and Mimaki TxF Series printers take honors

Suwanee, GA – Mimaki USA, a leading manufacturer of wide-format inkjet printers and cutters, today announced two of its products, the Mimaki UJV100-160Plus UV-LED printer and the Mimaki TxF Series direct-to-film (DTF) printers, have received the EDP Awards 2024 from the European Digital Press Association (EDP).

The EDP Awards honor innovative products in the digital printing industry selected by the EDP Technical Committee, which consists of independent consultants, editors, engineers, and other graphic industry-related experts. In its 17th edition, the EDP Awards recognized Mimaki in two categories: “Best Roll-to-Roll Printer Less Than 170cm” and “Best Textile Printer Direct to Transfer.”

The Award-Winning Products
The Mimaki UJV100-160Plus UV-LED roll-based printer is the definitive entry-level model for sustainable sign and graphics production, with low running costs, versatile output capability, and easy printing for everyone. This model offers improvements over the UJV100-160 model that reduce running costs, extend application capabilities, and optimize operational efficiency. With a maximum power consumption of 0.5kW, the UJV100-160Plus printer consumes less than half the power of eco-solvent and latex printers on the market. Other features on this 64-inch wide model include an ink-saving function to reduce running costs, a multi-layer printing function that expands the application range, and seamless integration with Mimaki cutting plotters to improve work efficiency.

The Mimaki TxF Series – including the TxF150-75 and TxF300-75 models – are DTF printers for heat transfer textile applications. Both models are 32-inch wide printers that include new ink circulation technology to prevent white ink sedimentation. The TxF150-75 printer is an entry-level model while the TxF300-75 printer provides increased productivity with print speeds of up to 108 square feet per hour. Users can count on consistent quality with a three-way intelligent heater to accelerate ink drying. These models can print skin-friendly textiles with OEKO-TEX® ECO PASSPORT Certification of Mimaki PHT50 inks. The TxF Series DTF printing systems enable the creation of intricate designs on an expansive range of fabrics, from cotton, mixed textiles, polyester, and even darker shades.
