Good2Go Expands Zapier Support with New Triggers, Actions, and Services

Press release from the issuing company

Printers can automate powerful pre-production services effortlessly with Zapier and Good2Go.

Good2Go Software proudly announces a major enhancement to its Good2Go pre-production solution, significantly boosting support for the Zapier integration and automation platform. This update introduces new workflow triggers via Webhooks and actions, vastly expanding automation opportunities for printers using Good2Go with Zapier. Additionally, Good2Go now offers integration services designed to help printers leverage Zapier to streamline repetitive tasks without needing to master the platform.

“Integration and automation platforms like Zapier are game-changers for printers looking to automate customer interactions,” said Michael Reiher, president of Good2Go Software. “One of the key benefits is the extensive range of solutions that can be seamlessly integrated with Good2Go through Zapier. These include email, text messaging, customer databases, project management solutions, and various direct marketing tools. As more print-related services, such as Print MIS solutions, adopt Zapier integration, the capabilities of services like Good2Go will continue to expand, offering even more automation options for print.”

New Features for Enhanced Automation

In this latest update, printers can automate a wide array of actions on files within the Good2Go service, ranging from sending proofs to locking files automatically once approved for print. The new actions include:

  • Initiating a proofing cycle
  • Renaming job files
  • Locking or unlocking files
  • Moving files to a specific folder
  • Assigning tasks to team members
  • Retrieving job history
  • Uploading files
  • Accessing customer information

To streamline workflow initiation, additional triggers have been added as Webhooks, providing immediate workflow processing when conditions change in Good2Go. These triggers include:

  • New file submission
  • Completion of preflight quality check
  • Changes in file status
  • File correction uploaded
  • File submission for review
  • Receipt of review comments

“Good2Go, in conjunction with Zapier, has significantly enhanced our ability to meet the demands of our most valued clients,” said Jim Rosenthal, president of PDC Graphics. “What truly excites us is the vast potential for automating small tasks. Individually, these tasks may save just a minute or two, but when multiplied by 30 times a day across multiple customer service representatives, the time savings add up to hours every day. This not only reduces the workload for our employees but also enables us to deliver superior service to our clients,” added Jim.

Expansive Automation Possibilities

These new actions and triggers enable a plethora of automation scenarios, such as:

  • Automatically assigning files to prepress upon detecting a critical preflight error.
  • Locking files from additional changes once approved for print.
  • Archiving files with their review history for long-term storage.
  • Adding customers to a marketing database for ongoing engagement.
  • Customizing file names to include order details.
  • Sending clients important notifications via text messages.

One of the unique aspects of Good2Go is that it goes beyond being just a file onboarding service or proofing tool. Good2Go features a robust file management system that allows files to be organized by submission source, client, or production process. With automation through Zapier and other solutions like Enfocus Switch, this system ensures files are kept organized and smoothly moved through to the final print stage—all in the cloud. This approach helps maintain clean servers, emails, and desktops, ensuring that files are only brought down for final print production when needed.

Services to Help Get Started

Recognizing that navigating Zapier can be challenging for many printers, Good2Go Software now offers professional services to design and set up customized workflows based on individual printer needs. These services encompass not only Good2Go's automation capabilities but also a variety of third-party services compatible with Zapier.
