Allegra Marketing Print Mail Palatine Earns Project of the Year Award

Press release from the issuing company

PALATINE, Ill. – Brian Walsh, owner of Allegra Marketing Print Mail Palatine, was recently presented the Project of the Year award by Alliance Franchise Brands.

The Project of the Year award honors the Centers who have completed some of the network’s most remarkable and noteworthy projects in the previous year. It signifies a truly exceptional endeavor that stands out for its ingenuity, distinctiveness and the challenges overcome by the Center’s dedicated team.

“We are deeply honored to receive the Project of the Year award,” said Walsh. “Throughout our collaboration with El Jefe’s Taqueria, our primary goal was to craft a project that would support their team. In tandem, we had the incredible opportunity to not only uplift the Pittsburgh, PA and New Brunswick, NJ areas, but also foster a lasting partnership.”

El Jefe's Taqueria is a longtime client of Walsh, whose two business offices are located in Palatine, IL and Kenosha, WI, seeking support for two of its restaurants that were not performing as well as their other locations and needed some fresh foot traffic. The Allegra team embraced the challenge and crafted a multi-channel marketing campaign. The campaign encompassed direct-mail, social media, YouTube, Google ads, Geo-targeting and more, all strategically aimed at enticing students at the University of Pittsburgh and Rutgers University to visit the restaurants using a free taco offer.

Injecting a playful touch, and playing off the already-established Avocado mascot, the team ventured into the realm of A.I. image creation to bring to life a brand new Taco character to be the Guac’s companion. The Avocado mascot has long signified El Jefe’s tagline of “freeing the Guac,” because at El Jefe’s, “the extras aren’t extra.” In order to carry across a FREE TACO offer, Allegra created the campaign of "first we freed the guac, Now we've freed the taco."

The marketing campaign quickly gained traction and garnered an astounding 1,100 coupon redemptions in just the first 30 days.
