Fortis Solutions Group Facility Installs Gallus RCS 430 to Enhance Wine and Spirits Capabilities

Press release from the issuing company

Kennesaw, Ga. – For its rapidly growing, state-of-the-art facility in Napa, California, Fortis Solutions Group recently installed the Gallus RCS 430 from Heidelberg in order to further expand their ability to execute intricate label designs for their customers.

Flexibility to Complete All Complex Jobs
Focusing on the wine and spirits label market, the Fortis Solutions Group facility looked to the Gallus RCS 430 to produce the highest quality label for any complex design a customer may want. Redefining the future of label printing, the RCS 430 supports six printing processes including offset printing, flexographic printing, screen printing, hot foil stamping, and embossing – all of which can be readily integrated for ultimate flexibility. Similarly, secondary processes like cold foil embossing, laminating, and reverse-side printing can be accomplished with the versatile RCS platform.

“The RCS 430 definitely has a niche for the market we are in,” said Brendan Kinzie, President of Wine and Spirits for Fortis Solutions Group. “We work with many talented creative agencies and designers, and their pursuit of excellence in design means that we need to offer a platform that can accommodate everything from offset, to flexography, to digital, all with the highest level of execution. This press allows us to receive a job and adjust the press to the label design to create exactly what our demanding clients need in a matter of a few minutes.”

Thanks to its high degree of automation, the RCS 430 achieves offset printing quality results, holding extremely tight registration, while maintaining the best possible performance efficiency. When working on repeat jobs, the RCS has many unique features to ensure the repeatability of demanding label designs.

“The RCS and Gallus have been involved in the premium packaging industry for a very long time, and they have a great reputation in the wine and spirits market,” said Kinzie. “When we decided to launch our greenfield startup in Napa, we made sure that our first equipment purchases would be an investment in our future. The RCS 430 gives us the ability to offer a great product to our customers – whatever their needs may be – while also giving us the flexibility to grow.”

Beginning of a Great Partnership
While this may be the first purchase for the new Fortis Solutions Group facility, Kinzie has relied on Heidelberg-Gallus equipment in the past – making the purchase of the RCS an easy decision. According to Kinzie, “Gallus recognized we were a startup. Based on our prior relationship, they did everything they could to help us get started. The entire team recognized that we need a partner for the future and did a tremendous job of making sure we had all of technology and expertise on hand to successfully launch our new facility. Throughout the entire process of purchasing and installing the press, Gallus was on our side, and we look forward to working with them in the years to come.”
