Last week, the National Postal Forum (NPF) celebrated its 50th anniversary in San Antonio, Tex., with more than 4,000 professionals from the mailing and shipping industry. In addition to the five primary educational tracks over the four-day event, NPF had nearly 130 exhibitors in the exhibitor hall. This year’s theme was “Informed Customers. Customer. Experience. Delivered.” True to the theme, United States Postal Service (USPS) Postmaster General (PMG) and CEO Megan Brennan kicked off Monday morning’s Opening General Session by focusing much of her keynote on the USPS’s Informed Delivery daily mobile offering, as well as its Informed Visibility data analytics platform. This analysis provides highlights from the NPF’s Opening General Session, as well as an overview of the USPS’s latest innovations.

The 90-minute Opening General Session at NPF was a carefully-scripted event with PMG Brennan setting the stage for presentations from Isaac Cronkhite, Vice President of Enterprise Analytics, as well as Jakki Strako, acting Chief Customer and Marketing Officer.
