Two Paper Makers Forge Alliance for High-End Packaging

Trust, a handshake, and an eye on luxury packaging are behind the newly formed partnership between Mohawk and Arjowiggins Creative Papers.

They’re separated by an ocean but united in their focus on the luxury packaging market. Mohawk and Arjowiggins Creative Papers have decided to pursue their ambitions in it together through a partnership that gives each an opportunity to make and sell some of the other’s top-of-the-line products for high-end packaging.

Thomas D. O’Connor, Jr., Mohawk’s chairman and CEO, describes the alliance as “a very simple licensing agreement with a handshake” that will let the two paper manufacturers cross-sell without adding overhead or dealing with the constraints of a more rigid business arrangement.
