Konica Minolta Pushes Up-Market with Three New Digital Presses

Konica Minolta used the launch of three new digital presses as an opportunity to brief a media and analyst group at its Manhattan showroom earlier this month. In addition to learning about the new presses as they were launched, the group also received a strategy update from the company. Senior Editor Cary Sherburne was there and shares her thoughts.

You may have seen the recent announcement from Konica Minolta about its three new bizhub presses, the C1100 and C1085, full color presses at 100 and 85 ppm respectively, and the dual-engine bizhub 2250P, a monochrome press that delivers up to 250 duplex imprecision per minute. Both offer true 1200x1200 dpi print resolution. I was pleased to be included in a briefing at the company’s Manhattan showroom with 40 of my closest media and analyst friends that coincided with this launch. The company took this opportunity to update the media and analyst community on its business results and strategy as well as showing off the new presses.

A high point for me was the customer panel, moderated by Dino Pagliarello, Director of Product Marketing.  As many of you know from reading my work, I always encourage suppliers to make customers a part of these events—it adds so much value. And this was no exception.
