Taylor Corporation's NowDocs Now Ready for Prime Time: An Interview with Brad Adamske

Four years ago,

Friday, April 16, 2004

Four years ago, at the height of the dot-com frenzy, NowDocs was one of the players gaining a lot of media attention, including feature articles in both Forbes and CIO magazines that ran in the first half of 2000. At the time, the company had launched its business based on the power of Web-based job submission and management, driving volume to its network of print centers with an Internet-based time definite same-day print and delivery service. The service offered presentation-quality digitally printed documents to major business markets. At the time it was launched, the company offered delivery in as little as two hours to Austin, Boston, Chicago, Dallas, Los Angeles, Memphis, New York, California's Orange County and Silicon Valley, San Diego, San Francisco, Seattle, and Washington, D.C. In 2001, NowDocs expanded its same-day service to over 20 markets, including international cities such as London and Toronto. In addition, NowDocs delivered printed documents for next-day arrival to over 200 countries worldwide.

But like many of the early movers in this space, the collapse caught up with them and took its toll, and the company was ultimately acquired by Taylor Corporation. But while NowDocs may have been keeping a somewhat low profile of late, the company has been busy adding functionality to its NowDocs NowPrint solution. Brad Adamske, NowDocs' President, spent time with WhatTheyThink, bringing us up to date on the latest NowDocs news.

WTT: Brad, thanks for taking the time to speak with us. Tell us what you've been up to lately.

Tariffs and Textiles: Will They Help Bring Back U.S. textile Manufacturing?

So supposedly, a goal of U.S. tariffs on products imported from other countries, including textiles, apparel, and footwear, was to incentivize bringing manufacturing back to the States.
