Zumbox Taking Digital Postal Mail to the Next Level

Zumbox, a digital postal mail service, recently announced that Chuck Teller, formerly of CatalogChoice.org and TrustedID, has joined the company with the objective of identifying new industries that can be served by digital postal mail and broadening the range of mail (documents) recipients can migrate to digital-only. Here's what he had to say to Senior Editor Cary Sherburne.

Are you ready to "Opt Over"?

As WhatTheyThink readers will recall, we have been following the development of digital alternatives to the post office with various digital postal mail offerings.  Zumbox appears to be the most established (Pitney Bowes' Volly has yet to be launched for consumers, with no firm date set). The announcement of the hiring of Chuck Teller as SVP of market development and strategy caught my eye, signaling that Zumbox was ready to take its offerings to the next level.

Most recently, I interviewed Andy Jolls, SVP of Consumer Marketing for Zumbox, where he talked about how the company was working to educate and engage consumers in the evolution to digital postal mail. He talked about why consumers might find digital postal mail an attractive solution for not only their transactional mail, but in the future, marketing mail as well.  With the addition of Teller, Zumbox is on its way to creating that marketing mail future.
