Xerox and the Cloud: Deb Cantabene Talks About Forward Strategy

There is no question that drupa 2012 will be an inkjet drupa, where inkjet technologies really begin to come into their own. But it will also be a “cloud computing” drupa. We have already seen a major announcement from Adobe, and many more companies are moving in that direction, including Xerox. Senior Editor Cary Sherburne talks with Xerox’s Deb Cantabene to find out more about the company’s cloud strategy.

Senior Editor Cary Sherburne speaks with Xerox Vice President of Workflow and Solutions Marketing to learn more about cloud computing offerings Xerox will be showing at drupa 2012 in what could also be called the “cloud drupa.”

WTT: Deb, this will obviously not be Xerox’ first venture into the Cloud, but perhaps you can share with us some of your thoughts on strategic direction and what you will be showing at drupa.

DC: Cloud computing is such a broad and vast topic. You always have to start with this big monstrous thing, and then narrow it down to the three layers, and then further, to the areas adjacent to print. The three layers are Infrastructure as a Service (IaaS), and Xerox Services, formerly ACS, has five different offerings in that area already available, along with additional offerings in the works in the other layers as well.
