Responding to our post about the "help haiti" T-shirts from Envision Sports Design, Fujifilm reports that its companies in Japan and the U.S. have have provided $400,000 in financial assistance and Fujifilm medical products and equipment in the aftermath of the earthquake that struck Haiti on January 12. Fujifilm companies in the U.S. provided financial assistance to Hope for Haiti, a nonprofit group based in Haiti. Stamford CT-based FUJIFILM Medical Systems U.S.A. Inc., through a partnership with Stamford Hospital and AmeriCares, has donated a portable digital x-ray system to help clinicians struggling with a lack of diagnostic equipment. Fujifilm companies in Japan provided financial assistance and Fujifilm x-Ray film supplies to aid in the Haiti relief efforts through the Japan Platform Foundation.
