2004 AGC "Graphic Communications Day" Draws Record Attendance from All Segments of the Industry

Graphic Communications Day, the print media conference and expo for the New York metropolitan region, made its strongest showing ever at Madison Square Garden with a record attendance and a round of applause from exhibitors and visitors alike.

Anne Mulcahy, chairman and CEO, Xerox Corp., keynoted at Graphic Communications Day by declaring that printers must realize the time has come to “change or die” in an industry that will derive an increasing share of its profits from workflow efficiency. “If you need a new business model, get one,” said Ms. Mulcahy, seen here with Dean David Steele (left) and Associate Dean Richard Ottaway, Silberman College of Business, Fairleigh Dickinson University.

The event, sponsored by the Association for Graphic Communications (AGC), drew about 1,500 people to the Garden on November 4. On hand to greet them were 72 exhibitors including some of the most prominent vendors of digital production technologies. Visitors also took part in panel discussions, technical sessions, and award ceremonies in an agenda headlined by keynote remarks from Anne M. Mulcahy, chairman and CEO of Xerox.
