Interview with Linda Dickinson, Director of Print Production and Purchasing, Print Buyer of the Year - Meridian Communications

In April 2004 Dickinson was awarded the Print Buyer of the Year award by Print Buyers Online. Suzanne Morgan, President of the organization, awarded the prize to Dickinson at the 2004 Print Oasis conference, held this year in Hollywood, Florida. Morgan explained that of the people nominated for the award, Dickinson received the most nominations—more than 18. The nominations came from people inside of Meridian, as well as from a wide variety of external companies including printers and suppliers.

Morgan says she was impressed by the comments made by the people who wrote nominations for Dickinson. The stories and examples people gave of working with Dickinson made it clear that she not only knows her job, but she’s open, flexible and eager to learn. “Linda has been in the business for quite a while and she’s very willing to help people. She has a great mix of insight and foresight into potential issues and she’s always willing to find new ways to do things.”

Dickinson has worked in printing and publishing roles for decades and has been with Meridian for five years. For ten years before joining Meridian, she worked at the Council of State Governments (CSG), a non-profit that she describes as “a kind of chamber of commerce for states.” During her tenure at CSG she performed a variety of print related tasks, including design and production.
