thINK Ahead 2026: Lots of People, Sponsors and New Products

thINK Ahead is “the largest user group event in production inkjet printing.” It’s a self?governed community of more than 1,600 active Canon production inkjet equipment owners, solution partners, and industry experts as members. Canon discussed their market and customer successes and laid out their focus on innovation. One of the highlights of the thINK Ahead conference is visiting the CIC to see what is new and coming to the Canon Production Print portfolio. This year was a banner year for new product introductions and updates.

thINK Ahead is “the largest user group event in production inkjet printing” It’s a self?governed community of more than 1,600 active Canon production inkjet equipment owners, solution partners and industry experts as members. While the big annual event, held in Boca Raton, Fla., is what people think the group is all about, at its core it is about member-to-member collaboration throughout the year through online forums, webinars, best practice toolkits, and industry research to keep customers aligned state of the industry, inkjet upgrades, workflow optimization and enhancements, and emerging applications.

Last week (July 13–15), the 12th annual conference was held at The Boca Raton Resort and was the best-attended thINK Ahead conference to date, drawing a record number of more than 400 users and 45 sponsors. Of course, Canon played a leading role in both sponsorship and messaging.

In the keynote presentation given by Isao “Sammy” Kobayashi, the President and Chief Executive Officer of Canon U.S.A, he reiterated Canon’s move to “unify our structures to reinforce the power of one. In the past, operating in silos sometimes created friction. However, by bringing our teams, our resources, and our expertise under one adhesive organization, these changes reinforce rather than disrupt from Canon’s unwavering commitment to production trade.”
