Inkjet Printing for Packaging Dominates at interpack 2026

Digital inkjet printing, late-stage personalization, and sustainable packaging emerged as some of the dominant themes at interpack 2026, the world’s leading trade fair for the packaging and processing industry.

Held every three years in Düsseldorf, Germany, the exhibition took place May 7–13 at Messe Düsseldorf and brought together packaging manufacturers, print technology suppliers, and automation companies from around the world.

According to Messe Düsseldorf, 2,804 companies from 65 countries participated in this year’s event, while visitors arrived from 161 countries. International attendance remained particularly strong, with 75% of attendees coming from outside Germany and 28% from outside Europe. For the first time, the parallel “components” supplier exhibition occupied two dedicated halls and featured approximately 100 companies.
