More than 1,000 people attended Dscoop Edge Rockies in Denver on March 8. The event was held in the Rockies, and as such the mascot was a very friendly bear, which could be seen all over the event floor and even during the keynotes. The opening keynote was delivered by Haim Levit, SVP and Division President of HP Industrial Print. He framed the future of industrial print around three human fundamentals: commitment, momentum, and trust. “These are not abstract values, but operating principles that determine how organizations scale, partner, and lead in moments of change.”

They keynote also included a some of the impressive results of HP Industrial, including 100 installs of the 200K press which was announced two years ago, 100 installations of the PageWide A2200, which started shipping about two-and-a-half years ago, more than 200 B2 presses (120K and 18K) sold since their drupa launch, and an impressive 100 installations of the HP Indigo 6K+ since its release at Labelexpo six months ago! HP Industrial has the momentum and it is NONSTOP, reinforcing their goal for future development and the goal of their customers’ production requirements. This is reflected in their market leadership with 73% in Labels and Packaging, 58% in Commercial, 90% in Flexible Packaging, and 75% B2 Commercial.

HP PageWide momentum continues to help customers scale, with market-leading web inkjet solutions recently surpassing 1.2 trillion pages printed worldwide, reinforcing its leadership in high-value production segments. Today, nine of the top 10 book manufacturers and eight of the top 10 direct mail printers rely on HP PageWide technology, reflecting its proven performance at scale. “Our solutions are driving nonstop printing at leading printers, and our relentless focus on incorporating intelligent automation is driving that success,” said Barbara McManus, General Manager, HP PageWide Industrial.

Dscoop has historically been a platform for new hardware, software, and service introductions from HP and partners. At Dscoop Edge Rockies 2026, the big product news was the launch of the HP Indigo 7K+ Digital Press. Built on the 7K platform, with more than 2,200 presses installed worldwide and a proven track record, the new press delivers enhanced cost efficiency, versatility, and operational simplicity by aligning with HP’s broader vision for nonstop digital printing. “Our nonstop digital printing journey continues at full speed,” said Noam Zilbershtain, VP & General Manager, HP Indigo.

The new HP Indigo 7K+ addresses mid-range customers’ needs for higher automation and operational simplicity, along with better economics and flexible print mode options, to support both high-margin specialty applications and cost-efficient everyday jobs. The HP Indigo 7K+ incorporates on-press automation and AI tools that streamline manual processes that can enable more efficient, data-driven decision-making. Real?time diagnostics and predictive press care, monitoring agents, and better onboard analytics that flag issues early and help operators resolve faults faster supporting the “nonstop digital printing” positioning.

As part of the Nonstop Digital Printing vision, HP Indigo announced the expansion of its portfolio with the addition of the industry’s most comprehensive, print?focused Automated Mobile Robots (AMRs), through an extended collaboration with MoviGo Robotics. HP will now sell and fully support these AMRs directly, enabling true end?to?end automation across the entire production floor. The strengthened portfolio includes AMRs designed for B2 pallets of HP Indigo Commercial sheetfed presses, as well as postal pallets, carts, and racks. They also introduced the new Sharko 5 RT, purpose-built for web presses across HP Indigo Labels and Packaging and HP PageWide roll transport environments.

An Eye Toward the Future

This Dscoop was about more than new hardware, it was about strategic direction and some of the plans for the near- and longer-term future. According to Amir Raziel, Global Head of Strategy, HP Industrial Print, “We envision print in the next decade as becoming more automated, implementing AI-driven automation at every step of the operation, from submission to shipping of the product. It will be integrated because the current state of deglobalization will drive a network of interlinked supply chain and enable local, reliable, agile supply of print products.”

Key hardware innovations that were shown include CMYK+ with new advancements such as a higher ink solid concentration, the Printing Imaging Plate (PIP+) with a new formulation in two key layers, and the Regenerated Imaging Oil (RIO), in-press recycling system for the ink carrier. This package increases press availability by reducing the need for replacements with the new CMYK+ and PIP+, can save up to six hours per month, freeing up more time to print profitable pages. The use of the new supplies package reduces up to 16% of the carbon emissions from supply consumption for an average job printed on a typical HP Indigo digital press.

AI First

Going forward the overall direction of HP will be AI First, with Autonomous Printing being their long term goal. While the hardware has to be smart and robust, nonstop production requires more than an efficient press. It demands efficiencies across the entire production workflow from onboarding to shipping. Some of this will be accomplished with HP technologies and some with partner technologies. Increasingly this will be the direction of many of the hardware and software manufacturers going forward. Toward that end, HP Indigo is focusing on the next major transformation that leverages artificial intelligence (AI), intelligent automation (IA), and a robust product portfolio to redefine what’s possible across commercial, labels, and packaging markets. To enable this, it requires a significant investment in software and services.

Features like automated press failures recovery, automated troubleshooting, and diagnostics are already starting to be implemented, and will find their way into all of the hardware. Developments like EPM preflight, with AI-powered print mode decision making, AI-driven defect detect+reprint, will be scaling broadly, expanding AI to all new products increasing user impact and ease of operation. Eco Print Mode brings a more economical four-color print option, and Color Beat, a real-time color monitoring tool, are using AI to improve production quality and reduce cost.

“Only one year ago, we were talking about the Industry 4.0 manufacturing, and hence with data within the connectivity with the Internet. Now one year later, we’re already talking about Industry 5.0 and it’s very different. In Industry 4.0 it was all task-oriented, task reduction, human reduction, automated produce, automated task to reduce humans. Industry 5.0 is putting the human at the center. It is designing the processes, thinking of how the humans can become augmented, how we can enhance them, how we can do more with the same people,” according to Diana Pascual Soldevilla, the new GM of Industrial Print SW & Solutions. Ultimately, HP is looking at developing and participating in a fully interconnected AI-driven print ecosystem.

HP has been developing intelligent workflow solutions since PrintOS was released in 2016 as a workflow infrastructure platform, marking 10 years and now connecting thousands of devices worldwide and enabling automated, data-driven production management. Building on this foundation, HP Nio, which was introduced at Dscoop 2025, is now commercially available. Developed on HP PrintOS, HP’s AI-powered production intelligence solution, introduces a conversational AI experience that transforms real-time production data and technical knowledge into clear, actionable guidance.

“For years, our customers have told us that printing itself is no longer the challenge, it’s managing the complexity around it,” said Soldevilla. “Our focus is on human-centric intelligent automation, where AI augments people rather than replaces them.” By helping teams understand what is happening, why it matters, and what to do next, HP Nio supports faster decision-making, higher productivity, and more confident operations at scale. Available through the Productivity Power Pack and Knowledge Zone, HP Nio extends intelligent automation across digital print workflows.

According Noam Zilbershtain, VP & General Manager, HP Indigo, “the workflow begins with the brand, with the artwork creation, either if it’s e-commerce, completely democratized, completely automated, or if it’s more manual setup. The workflow begins with the brand, and that is the part that we want to help with, and we are hoping, and we are working hard, to really help disrupt and simplify radically, because we know it’s one of the key areas that today, before even going into augmenting humans, we need to pass the automation phase.”

HP continues to expand HP Site Flow with enhancements including Ultimate Impostrip integration, expanded support for orders up to 1,000 line items processed end-to-end, a new operating-times calendar to improve SLA accuracy, a simplified Site Flow Power-up model to shorten onboarding, and expanded mobile capabilities. HP also announced its collaboration with GoMake, a cloud-native, AI-assisted quotation and production management solution for small and mid-sized PSPs and converters. GoMake automatically defines optimal production plans, improves cost accuracy, and accelerates customer response times.

Streamlining job onboarding, HP is also accelerating brand-to-PSP connectivity with updates to HP Brand Centre, simplifying how brands submit work while helping to reduce onboarding time to days. The platform enables standardized yet flexible integrations that align with each brand and PSP’s existing systems, including product definitions, SKUs, file formats, and workflow rules. Customized adaptors are already in use with multiple PSPs and brands.
