Highlights from FESPA 2024—Sign and Display Printers

European section editor Ralf Schlözer rounds up some wide-format product launches and announcements made at the FESPA Global Print Expo, held in Amsterdam, the Netherlands, March 19–22.

Despite 2024 being a drupa year, FESPA returned in March to the Amsterdam RAI exhibition centre with six halls and about 500 exhibitors. This is noticeably larger than last time in 2021 when the show took place in between lockdowns. In 2024, the FESPA Global Print Expo was co-located with the European Sign Expo, Personalisation Experience, and Sportswear Pro—although those events only covered small portions of the total floorspace.

Not all of the vendors usually exhibiting at FESPA made their way to Amsterdam, instead concentrating on drupa this year. The most high-profile absentees were Canon, Durst, Fujifilm, and HP.
