Make It ’22 marked the return of live events for Canon EMEA. With about 500 customers in attendance, a considerable number of visitors had a chance to see production equipment live in operation, while sessions and demos were also recorded for an online audience. Moving forward, Canon is planning to stick with the hybrid model for events, realizing the importance of personal contacts but enlarging the audience with a virtual approach.

The Canon EMEA event took place at its Poing site in Germany, where all continuous-feed presses are being produced. Customers were able to see key products of Canon’s production printing line up, including toner printers, continuous-feed presses, a label press and large-format printers. For many visitors, it was the first chance to see equipment that had been launched during the pandemic live in operation, such as the ColorStream 8000, the ProStream 1800, and the inline coater for the VarioPrint iX.

The Make It ’22 event was conceived as a call to action for printing companies to get familiar with Canon’s portfolio, its recent launches, and its support activities. The aim is to position Canon not just as a technology provider, but as a business partner.
