Frank mentions in the video a paper by IP that has a technology that Cal Poly used for matching offset with a Konica Minolta machine that without that technology an issue would occur in the run of both offset and toner devices. About a decade ago, at RIT, we demonstrated that toner and offset could produce a near perfect match on plain Sterling
Offset house papers in a print shop using several toner devices. Example Xerox.

So actually with toner printing presses it is possible to do this with standard offset papers.
Jim Niemiec certainly knows his stuff and
we used his paper for matching Kodak Prosper color inkjet with offset as well. This required a special paper using Jim's patented process.
