Frank, thank the stars that you’re preserving the books arts, and fervently believe in them and their future. I love them too, and believe they’ll always be with us. And, ever more creative in design and production. Love the shirt!
Totally agree. I have some books that you might be interested in. Is there an email link that I can send photos to so that you can decide if you want them? My email is pritchardgordon (@) Gmail (dot) com
I have every book that I ever used in college and graduate school.
I’m reminded of a time at RIT when I resold a book that I purchased having to do with western civilization. When the class was over, I resold the book. I felt so guilty about it that I went back to the bookstore and re-purchased it, of course, at a price that was higher than I received when I sold it.
I never regretted having saved all these books plus many others dealing with the field of printing and related subjects. They have helped me immensely in my teaching, consulting, and expert witness work, particularly when the courts required seeing originally printed material as opposed to documents from the Internet. I have a personal home library of over 3000 books, all related to printing and communication technology and management that I tremendously value.
Thank you, Frank, for sharing your important message about the relevance of books.
