Frank goes historic. Before Gutenberg printed the Bible he printed indulgences. These were “passports to Heaven” which allowed you to bypass Purgatory if enough money was paid. There were blank spaces for the variable data. The first thing that Gutenberg printed was a form!

As a Protestant, I decry the theology of indulgences but, as a practitioner of marketing... Luther burned indulgences as a protest during the Reformation (demand creation for printers) and the Catholic Church allowed you to get an indulgence for the deceased as well as the living (unlimited, perpetual market demand for print).
