Printed batteries are an important part of printed electronics. Until now, the density of the inks required screen printing. Now, a breakthrough allows three inkjet inks to print a battery. This will provide new opportunities for security printing, direct mail, and packaging that literally sings and dances.

Wow! Thanks for sharing this news. I try to keep up with newer tech but haven't heard about this one.

Dear Brooklyn Bum: Thank you for the great education today, I had to watch your video twice to understand what I thought I heard you say. Cool. Cool idea, touch the product packaging on the shelf at the store and it plays a video promo for that item. Having a scanner at the grocery store scan my whole cart at once? I am not sure I am ready to trust everybody involved with that upstream, to not overcharge me. I still pay my bills with printed statements in the snail mail, with hard copy checks, in envelopes with postage stamps. I know that creates consumption of printing and keeps a fellow printer somewhere employed. Keep challenging us with videos like this one today.
