Frank discovers an article that says that Jeff Bezos of Amazon prefers multi-page memos over Powerpoint and this prompts a discussion of office printing. Along the way, we are reminded of paper memos and phone call slips, some printed with Mimeographs, Dittos, Gestetners, and Xerox copiers. Today, almost everyone has a printer/scanner a few steps away.

But Frank, you left out the most important part of the mimeograph... THE SMELL!! In 1960s elementary and high school classrooms and hallways across the USA you could smell when it was semester final exam periods. :) I'll never forget learning how to operate one of those when I had to spend a day in the office where my mother worked. Ah! Smells like Old Town purple to me...

I think the statement "everyone has a printer/scanner a few feet away" is generationally biased. I love the all-in-one printer I have at home, and I use it frequently. But many young people see printers as an unnecessary purchase (and an overall nuisance when printing is required).
