Press release from the issuing company
Rolling Meadows, Ill. – Komori America—Lowe-Martin in Mississauga, Ontario maintains its leading position in Canada with the acquisition and installation of the Komori Impremia IS29, a 29-inch high-speed, sheetfed digital inkjet UV printing system. This investment marks the first installation of a Komori Impremia IS29 in Canada. The Impremia IS29 is the third Komori installation in Lowe-Martin’s Mississauga facility, and joins two Komori GL640s, both with coaters and H-UV curing.
“We have been looking to take the next step in digital technology for the past two years. Through this process, we evaluated all available technologies to find the best fit for us and our clients,” says Marc Fortier, COO of Lowe-Martin. “We selected the Komori IS29 for two reasons. It will help us grow in both the retail POP and direct mail segments, two strategic markets for our company. Additionally, our long-standing relationship with Komcan and Komori made this decision even easier. We have two Komori GL640s and the Komcan/Komori team has always been there for us.”
“We are extremely pleased to have Lowe-Martin be our first IS29 installation in Canada,” stated Steve Ranson, president of Komcan Inc. “We think it speaks volumes about the Komori product line, after-sales support and the relationship that Komcan has with all of our customers. Further, with Lowe-Martin’s broad offerings and high quality requirements, it will be able to leverage this investment to the fullest extent. We are very happy to be partnering with Lowe-Martin yet again.”
Lowe-Martin has three locations in Ontario and has been recognized as Canada’s “Most Environmentally Progressive Printer” for several years. Komcan Inc. is the sole authorized Komori distributor in Canada, representing all of Komori’s products (both digital and offset) from coast to coast.
