BARBIERI electronic Exhibits at ITMA for First Time

Press release from the issuing company

BARBIERI electronic, manufacturer of special color measuring devices for professional digital printing, offers very special solutions dedicated to many different markets. One of these markets is digital textile printing for which two solutions are available: Spectro LFP as well as SpectroPad Textile bundle. Both solutions, as well as the Digital Output Control software will be shown at ITMA, where Barbieri for the first time will have a booth.

Digital printing on textiles and fabrics has very special requirements for color management and especially with measuring devices. Whether it be dye-sublimation, transfer or direct inkjet printing, measuring fabrics can be a tricky task. To meet these needs, BARBIERI electronic has related on their more than 30 years of experience in measuring special substrates and created two special solutions, Spectro LFP as well as SpectroPad Textile bundle.

Especially with textiles and fabrics, it is of upmost importance to get consistent, repeatable measurements, which has to be guaranteed by the measuring geometry and spectrophotometer design but also the system to mount the substrate. Spectro LFP in bundle with electrostatic sample holder is therefore the answer to all professional, high quality linearization and profiling needs. It is fully automated and measures thousands of patches almost without user intervention. The electrostatic sample holder is securely mounted to the fabric to be measured, in order for it not to move during the measuring process. Without such a secure fixing, even the smallest movement of a sample will impact measurement results.

For any application requiring smaller charts, SpectroPad is the right choice. It is a manual, portable, strip reading spectrophotometer. Thanks to its battery and data transmission through WiFi, it can be used directly on the printer and measuring results will be shown immediately on the touch screen. Also for SpectroPad an electrostatic sample holder is available.

In addition to printer setup, Barbieri Digital Output Control (DOC) enables control of the entire printing process. Within seconds (and without the need for a computer), the printer operator knows if the output is still within color tolerance and whether or not to continue printing or make adjustments. DOC process control can also be set up to guarantee consistent color quality across multiple locations. A quick check of spot colors and color distance between several spot colors can also be made within seconds and without the need for a computer by using the portable SpectroPad.

Both Spectro LFP as well as SpectroPad Textile bundle are the answers to all color measuring questions in professional, digital textile printing. These solutions can be seen at ITMA in Milan Hall 7, Stand H119 or contact Barbieri at www.barbierielectronic.com.
