An earlier news item indicated an imminent decision was coming regarding the future of manroland and its assets relative to the ongoing insolvency proceedings. 

A decision was to be coming today.  The potential suitors have been identified by several reports to be U.S. venture capital firm Platinum Equity and Germany's Possehl, a conglomeration of more than 130 different companies. 

Reports have indicated Possehl was interested in acquiring manroland's web-offset unit in Augsberg and strike a long term supply agreement with the plant in Plauen.  According to reports, Possehl has expressed little interest in the total acquisition of both Plauen and Offenbach where sheetfed presses are made.
