It’s a new year, shipmentswise, and January printing shipments came in at $7.04 billion, up from December’s $6.94 billion, putting the start to this year squarely between 2021 and 2022.
To recap: in 2021, we were still in the grip of the pandemic, 2022 saw a resurgent recovery, and 2023 was a slowdown as we reverted to the mean. We expect 2024 to be a more or less “normal” year—if such a thing can be said to exist—and January seems to be starting us off in exactly that fashion. Buckle up!
