July 2023 printing shipments came in at $7.04 billion, up from June’s $7.40 billion. July has become the most sluggish month for shipments—pre-COVID, June had been the slow month, but it looks like a new seasonality has emerged. If that’s correct things should pick up in August.
January-to-July shipments are at $50.48 billion, below last year’s $51.56 billion. We still have a good chance to come close or perhaps exceed 2022 shipments—unless something abruptly happens in the latter half of the year, God willin’ and the COVID don’t rise.
