WhatTheyThink Going Green recently passed the 2-year mark for publication - a milestone! I've thoroughly enjoyed putting together the site, seeing readership grow, and developing relationships with the many "green printers" in our industry. After more than 375 posts, endless recording of upcoming events, listing of 44 "must read" books, two Environmental Awards programs, and many tens of thousands of page views, I'm moving on to new challenges.

Peter Nowack, whom I've come to know as a creative thinker, witty commentator, and friend, will be leading this blog to new heights. Peter has a unique perspective built on his years of experience in this industry, especially helping companies "green up" their operations. Read his bio on the
About page and you'll see that he's the right person to take this on!
In 2002, I joined
WhatTheyThink and have been part of the very exciting growth of this organization over the years. In 2008, I took up challenge to launch a blog/site dedicated to sustainability in the graphic arts industry, and now I'm elbow-deep in the launch of something new -
Food CEO.
Food CEO provides objective leadership, independent information, and education to organizations that deliver healthy and sustainable food to consumers through retail and food service operations.
To provide support for family farms and independent food processors incorporating organic or low-input production methods, sensitive packaging, and local or regional distribution networks,
Food CEO collects, organizes, and analyzes news, comments on the activities of all members in the organic and sustainable food chain, and provides access to published resources and educational opportunities.
Food CEO is targeted to four major segments of the sustainable food chain: Producers, Processors, Wholesalers/Distributors, and Retailers, Restaurateurs, and Food Services, in order to help those segments make successful connections.
Because food and packaging are so closely related, I will continue to contribute posts about sustainable packaging, so you'll occasionally see my "by line" on
Going Green.
Let's don't lose touch. My new email address is gail (at) foodceo (dot) com. Please keep those cards and letters coming!
Take it away, Peter!
