Montana is a state that combines rolling prairies and mountains; a beautiful state! I just finished a short vacation there and my radar is tuned to anything Montana-related.
Through the serendipity of the Internet, I've discovered
Montana's Department of Environmental Quality and a list of manufacturers and retailers who will take back electronics for recycling. Manufacturers often have information on their websites and describe their recycling activities, although some manufacturers don't advertise or promote their programs.
If the manufacturer of your equipment is not listed, contact them directly to find out it they offer a recycling program. Most charge a processing fee, and some restrict the brands that they will accept. Dell and HP can provide a pick-up service.
