The spring trade show season is pretty much coming to an end; and with the close of
drupa 08 we'll have a little breather before the fall season begins again. So now is a good time to start thinking about how to make your booth "greener" for the next event where you will be exhibiting.
Event organizer and exhibit designer/manufacturer
MC2 has a nifty little PowerPoint prezo that offers some great advice:
"Greening the world... one trade show at a time." Here are just a few of the ideas included:
- Use rental properties and you eliminate the impact of the build process
- Remodel existing elements or use recycled materials if you must build
- Reduce transportation costs and effects by using a company with offices close to your major events
- Design a "lighter" space - one that requires fewer people to transport and setup and is lighter to ship
- Re-use, recycle, re-skin graphics and substrates
- Inventory everything that is thrown away for future reference
- Consider energy use in the exhibit and turn off equipment immediately after the show
