June in Bar Harbor, Maine, should be beautiful! The
Gravure Association of America (
GAA) chose it as the location for their Environmental Workshop, to be held June 17-19, at the
Atlantic Oakes Resort. It also seems fitting that
LL Bean - of Freeport, Maine - would be co-chairing the event.
Who should attend? Publishers, catalogers, retailers, and printers seeking a deeper understanding of climate change in relation to the paper industry.
Session titles include:
- Climate Change and Linkage with Sustainable Forestry
- Carbon Footprint of Paper
- Status and Need for More Privately-Held Land to be Certified
- University of Main "Forest Bio-products Research Initiative"
- Voluntary Carbon Market and Consumer Protection
- Paper Industry Focus on Climate Change
