Updated 6:00PM: ITC has announced it will review the patent-infringement complaint by Kodak against Apple and Research in Motion reversing a January recommendation from an ITC judge.

The U.S. International Trade Commission (ITC) is set to announce whether it will reexamine a January ruling that Apple and Research in Motion have not infringed upon a Kodak digital imaging patents. Kodak initially filed an ITC complaint against Apple and Research in Motion on January 14, 2010. Kodak also has Federal lawsuit pending on the matter.

The patent at issue relates to to previewing images on a digital camera-enabled device.

Chief Executive Officer Antonio Perez said Kodak “deserves to win,” in a Bloomberg interview yesterday, “This is a lot of money, big money,”

According to Kodak the company has licensed digital imaging technology to Nokia, LG, Motorola, Samsung, and Sony Ericsson. Bloomberg reports Kodak used the ITC to gain $550 million from Samsung and $414 million from LG for allegedly infringing the same patent as in the Apple and RIM cases.
