Reed Business Information is retaining ownership of Graphics Arts Monthly, Graphic Arts Blue Book, and Converting. RBI plans to use the subscription list from these titles to generate leads through the company's business-to-business marketing unit Mardev-DM2.
In a email to WhatTheyThink today, RBI executive vice president and CFO John Poulin says, “Over the last few weeks we have sold the majority of the IP associated with the discontinued RBI-US publications to RBI-US management. Ownership of the remaining brands (Chain Leader, Converting, Graphic Arts Blue Book, Graphics Arts Monthly, Purchasing, Restaurants & Institutions and Trade Show Week) will remain with Reed Business Information and will be used to generate qualified leads through Mardev DM2.”
WhatTheyThink had expressed interest in acquiring the assets of Graphics Arts Monthly.
