Adam,
While this is good news I for one suspect it's too late. Trade associations in our industry have missed the boat.
Too many bureaucrats worried about losing their jobs (rightly so) and too many board members worried about staying in business and letting the hired bureaucrats run the show.
Something has to change and in my opinion it's not the consolidation that's going on. I'm having a difficult time seeing the value and relevance of traditional trade associations in today's world.
Perhaps it's as simple as on-line communities like PrintPlanet growing in relevance and offering premium memberships where like minded individuals (who may represent businesses but come to the party as individuals) caucus and share on a daily basis in a place they know is safe from "public" search engine scrutiny.
Run with it guys I'd sign up - let's give it a try.
My humble opinions.

Will it be co-located with DSCOOP? If so, I will attend.
