This is SUCH a great opportunity for these students!! Thank you WTT for providing this sponsorship AND this work opportunity. I look forward to the reports coming out of Drupa about this group specifically!

My greatest hope when I retired in 2013 as head of Cal Poly’s Graphic Communication Department was that the next leadership would continue an upward spiral of growth and improvement. Well, they exceeded expectations, first with Ken Macro who followed me, and now with Colleen Twomey, the present chair. The support of students to attend DRUPA in partnership with WhatTheyThink, is but one example of the creative thinking by the faculty in preparing students with an unprecedented education in understanding the importance of the graphic communication industry and a readiness to enter it.
The six students that will have this opportunity will return as “different” people in their vision of our dynamic industry, its role as a vital communication force, and its prospects for the future. In my opinion, it will solidify their commitment to a career in the field.
Kudos to Colleen Twomey, the faculty, and to Eric Vessels and the WhatTheyThink team, for such a visionary partnership and thoughtful program.
