Roland Academy Takes Training Further in 2020

Press release from the issuing company

Clevedon, UK – Roland Academy, the team responsible for running Roland DG’s print courses, has had a strong start to the year with the addition of new courses, a new training centre and new remote and onsite training options for individuals or groups.

Established in 2006, the Roland Academy offers workshops, courses and online assistance, delivered by Roland’s print experts. As well as providing in-depth training on Roland systems, the Academy gives delegates new skills and practical experience to help them grow their businesses.

New Academy Site
The new Academy site is centrally located in Ashby de la Zouch, Leicestershire, at the headquarters of Vivid Laminating Technologies. The partnership furthers Roland's longstanding relationship with Vivid Laminating, a respected manufacturer of print finishing systems that have been used as part of Roland Academy training since 2014.

The new facility comprises a modern training room and expansive showroom space with a range of print and finishing equipment, with plenty of on-site parking and nearby hotels for attendees planning an overnight stay.

"We're delighted to announce a new Roland Academy training site at Vivid Laminating of Leicestershire, suppliers of some of the highest-rated print finishing equipment on the market," comments Ollie Bishop, Academy Trainer, Roland DG (UK) Ltd.

"Their headquarters in the heart of the country will help make the Roland Academy more accessible to our UK-wide customer base and will give us a platform to provide training to more customers than ever in 2020."

The new Roland Academy courses in Ashby de la Zouch are due to begin in March, with places available to book via the Roland website and Eventbrite.

New Courses
The news of a new training site is timed conveniently with the launch of two new Roland Academy courses. Updates of the popular Introduction to Digital Print and Intermediate Digital Print, these new courses feature recent products, popular applications and the latest best practice information.

“The world of digital print is moving really fast and it’s probably even faster in Roland,” says Ollie, “which is why we want to give delegates the most up-to-date and relevant training available.”

One-to-One Training
Comprehensive though they are, Roland’s course material can’t possibly cover every aspect of digital printing. For more advanced users, training requirements can be very specific, and it can be challenging for print professionals to find solutions to their unique situation.

In other cases, the customer and their staff might simply not be able to travel to a training centre. To create a more inclusive training service, Roland Academy have now launched two new 1-to-1 training option.

With these new services, customers can choose between onsite sessions conducted by Roland Academy trainers, or online personalised live video training which can be joined from anywhere with an internet connection.
