MILFORD, Conn.--April 16, 2002-- Advanstar and CAP Ventures today announced the 1:1 Marketing Forum, a one-day event focused on providing corporate communicators, sales and marketing professionals, print buyers, and production managers with case studies and examples of successful 1:1 campaigns from companies such as Sun America, industry trends and issues, cutting-edge technologies, and the opportunity to network with both vendors and suppliers. It will take place on Wednesday, April 24 at the Jacob Javits Convention Center in New York City. This special forum is part of the ON DEMAND 2002 Strategy Conference and Exposition, the world's largest event for digital solutions inprinting and publishing.
Sponsored by the Direct Marketing Association and PODi, the Digital Printing initiative (PODi), this event is designed to provide marketing communications professionals with actionable, "real-world"information. digital asset management, digital print production and fulfillment
will be addressed in the context of actual customer example. (Limited

1:00 p.m. "The Future of Direct Mail"
H. Robert Wientzen, President and CEO, Direct Marketing Association,
Inc. will discuss the most cost effective ways for companies to market
products and services. With the impact of the Internet and terrorist
attacks on "snail mail," what is the future of direct mail? Wientzen
will provide insights into the future of direct mail and what role it
will play in CRM and 1:1 printing. (Open to all ON DEMAND badge

2:00 p.m. "Making the Customer Happy by Integrating Communications"
Rab Govil, President of PODi, the Digital Printing initiative will
discuss how customers are able to communicate in the format they
choose and how to integrate their channels into the process. Govil
will provide observation of companies who have successfully increased
responses and revenue by integrating Web, call centers and print to
create targeted and personalized messages.
