Prolatus Announces UK Reseller Partnership with Litho Supplies

Press release from the issuing company

April 15, 2002 -- Prolatus UK is today pleased to announce the appointment of Litho Supplies as a UK Reseller Partner. Under the terms of the agreement, signed at IPEX today, Litho Supplies will offer the Prolatus range of remote proofing, retouching and file transfer products on a UK-wide basis through their network of offices. Litho Supplies, based in Bromsgrove, is one of the UK’s largest suppliers of technology to the printing and allied trades. Litho Supplies Sales Director for Electronics, Steve Dodds, commented “We see the Prolatus product range as an excellent set of sales tools for our team, both to help us into new accounts and also as good value-added incremental sales into some of our established accounts.” He continued “We have been impressed by what we have seen at Prolatus, and we are looking forward to a very fruitful relationship.” Commenting on this latest appointment, Prolatus UK Technical Services Director John Georgallis said, “To get a Reseller of the size and profile of Litho Supplies is a tremendous boost for everyone involved with the business.” Georgallis continued “This means more feet on the street for us, which will help us follow up the incredible number of leads we have picked up so far at IPEX.” Prolatus Inc CEO Jeff Hoekstra commented “Our Reseller Partner Channel is going to play a crucial role in the UK and Europe, so it is great to be working with Steve and his team at Litho Supplies.” Prolatus is the architect of revolutionary pre-media production and collaboration suite of tools and solutions. With MarkUp, PROLATUS makes hard proofing more nimble by injecting technology into a mark-up process that has not changed in years. MarkUp is not yet another proofing system - it works with any existing hard copy proof output. The patent-pending system focuses on the correction information, capturing the exact marks made on the proof, creating a corresponding digital image file, and sending it instantly to the prepress specialist or printer. Proofs can be routed to several different people or departments, with MarkUp keeping track of what changes were made by whom. And the proofing marks are easier to read, since they can be viewed as individual layers. No more problems with thick marker lines obliterating details of the proof.
