Press release from the issuing company
LCP is proud to celebrate their 50th anniversary in 2020. The company got its start in 1970. At that time, LCP’s founders, Bill Clay and Bob Efinger, were operating a small printing company. Believing growth opportunities existed, they purchased another firm and renamed the company Lake County Press. In 1976, Ralph Johnson joined the company and started a push for market expansion.
With Ralph on board, the company grew rapidly. Along the way, the company expanded to offer more than printing. They changed their name to LCP and embraced the tagline “Brand Meets World,” which speaks to their vision of helping clients communicate with an omnichannel strategy.
While much has changed, LCP still embraces a philosophy built on three key factors. Treat customers, employees, and suppliers fairly. Train employees well and provide them with the finest equipment so they may excel at their craft. And provide each client with the right blend of exceptional quality, world-class service, and high value for every dollar they spend at LCP.
Tom Johnson, President and CEO, said, “LCP started as a printer. That history taught us that quality and craftsmanship matters. Throughout the years, we also learned to embrace technology. Today, we bring all these elements together to create a unique partnership with clients that allows them to work productively and reach their goals. We can’t wait to see what the next fifty years bring.”
