Press release from the issuing company
Tokyo, Japan – Seiko Epson Corporation has published the English version of "Epson Integrated Report 2019." The report was made available on the company's corporate website on November 14.
Epson's Integrated Report presents shareholders, investors, customers, suppliers, and other stakeholders with environmental, social, and corporate governance (ESG) information that provides a picture of its sustainability as an enterprise, financial information that quantitatively shows the state of operations, and business strategy information that reveals its future growth prospects. Epson will use the Integrated Report as a tool for communicating with stakeholders to foster greater understanding of the company's activities and promote constructive dialog.
Overview of "Epson Integrated Report 2019"
The 2019 fiscal year marks the end of Phase 1, the first three-year phase under Epson 25, and the start of Phase 2 (FY2019-2021). This year's Integrated Report is thus not an annual report for the 2018 fiscal year. Instead, it provides a review of Phase 1 and articulates the strategic direction and concrete plans for achieving the Phase 2 plan. The report also describes how Epson reorganized the 16 highest-priority CSR themes into six materialities to coincide with the establishment of the Phase 2 plan. In addition, a pair of feature articles titled, "The Transformation of the Office Environment" and "The Transformation of the Production Floor" provide specific examples that depict Epson's value proposition.
