Palo Alto, Calif. – For years brand owners and print designers have demanded a local event that provides both a broad overview of paper and printing options – traditional and cutting edge – and guidance on how they can use them in their own work today. Which is why PaperSpecs, THE online hub for graphic designers in love with paper and print, is bringing swatchbooks, samples and live demonstrations to a number of cities across the U.S. with PaperSpecs Live. The latest: San Francisco on Nov. 14th at Fort Mason Center.
“For more than a decade, PaperSpecs.com, has provided designers with the latest info on everything from digital printing to binding, foiling technologies and more,” explains PaperSpecs Founder Sabine Lenz. “Yet ironically we’ve come to realize that the same characteristic that attracts so many to this medium – the feel of paper and print – is also woefully missing from designers’ lives today. And that’s why we recently launched our PaperSpecs Live events – to throw open that door for designers so they can see all that is possible.”
PaperSpecs Live is big on design ideas, free print and paper samples and more, but takes place in a manageable space, limited to just 250 attendees. This last aspect was particularly praised by many of those who attended the first PaperSpecs Live event in Chicago in September.
“I loved that it was like a ‘mini’ conference,” explained SmithBucklin Graphic Designer Alaina Kornfeld. “One night with a good presentation and fabulous vendors, but not overwhelming like some events.”
PaperSpecs Live San Francisco attendees will be able to:
Tickets are just $15, with proceeds going to the charity Inneract Project (inneractproject.org).
