Press release from the issuing company

Annual free event to be held on November 22 in Hsinchu, Taiwan

Taoyuan and Tokyo – Toppan Chunghwa Electronics (TCE), a Taiwan-based leading semiconductor photomask provider and subsidiary of Toppan Printing (Toppan), a global leader in communication, security, packaging, décor materials, and electronics solutions, will be holding Toppan Technology Forum 2019 (TTF2019), a series of talks presenting the latest in photomask and semiconductor-related technologies, at the Ambassador Hotel Hsinchu in Taiwan on November 22.

In collaboration with Toppan, TCE has held the event on an annual basis since 2002. In addition to explanations of the industry's latest technology trends by Toppan Group researchers and engineers, TTF2019 will feature keynote speeches by leading figures in semiconductor research, including a talk entitled “Beyond Moore’s Law” by Dr. Chingray Chang, Professor of Physics at the National Taiwan University.

Michael Hadsell, President and CEO of Toppan Photomasks, Inc. (TPI), will speak about the overall photomask strategy of the Toppan Group, while Toppan’s Masayuki Kagawa and TCE Vice President Anton Chang will present joint development efforts on advanced mask technology for the 7 nm node and beyond.

The lobby of the venue will showcase a variety of Toppan’s electronics solutions, including LC MAGIC, a liquid crystal-based light control film that changes from transparent to opaque with the flick of a switch.

“TCE and the Toppan Group’s photomasks operations have played a major role in the development of the semiconductor industry, and our customers always look to us for technical innovation and cutting-edge new solutions,” said Tadashi Ishimatsu, President of Toppan Chunghwa Electronics. “This event is always an excellent platform for technical experts and key decision makers to meet, exchange knowledge, and discuss the latest trends at the forefront of our industry. We look forward to sharing our advanced technologies and upcoming offerings with a wide range of existing and potential clients.”
