Tilia Labs Showcases Cross-Sector Portfolio and Partner Integrations on Three Booths at PRINTING United

Press release from the issuing company

New prepress technologies, product updates and an Industry 4.0 platform for commercial, large format, label and packaging print service providers – Booths 8833/8850, 10951, 11947

Ottawa, Canada) – Tilia Labs, Inc., a leading developer of planning, imposition, and Artificially Intelligent automation software solutions for the graphic arts industries, is showcasing its latest solutions across the full range of print applications in the Graphic & Wide Format, and Commercial & Packaging zones at PRINTING United 19 (Dallas, TX, Oct 23-25). Co-exhibiting with three key technology partners – Enfocus, Gerber Technology, and Screen Americas – the company emphasizes how its vendor-agnostic approach delivers solutions to suit any production scenario or equipment lineup.

With Enfocus, Booth 11947, Tilia Labs shows its full range of latest product developments, including Griffin 2.1 featuring new functionality for leading cutting tables, the brand-new Aries step-and-repeat solution for label producers, and the latest advances in the flagship tilia Phoenix technology.

Phoenix 7.0 comes fresh from receiving a 2019 InterTech™ Award at PRINT19 in recognition of its innovative approach to planning and imposition in operating according to machine and production requirements, rather than using templates. This enables Phoenix to generate print-ready layouts, JDF or die instructions and production reports, on-the-fly. The InterTech™ panel was particularly impressed by its unique use of cutting-edge AI technology to create purpose-designed AI algorithms, able to learn and adapt to live input.

Booth 11947 also provides the backdrop for presentation of Tilia Labs’ Industry 4.0 platform, tilia Cloud. This is designed to support and facilitate the opportunities of Industry 4.0, tilia Cloud offers a secure but open framework that aims to revolutionize the way print service providers connect, access, and manage their data. It allows actions to be automated and decisions made instantaneously. It also secures the sharing of licenses, and centralized resources, and enables companies to bring on new facilities and users as required over time.

In its exhibit with Gerber Technology, Booths 8833/8850, Tilia Labs is highlighting the recently released tilia Griffin version 2.1 which brings full-functionality ‘lights out’ automation to tilia Griffin through its new REST-based web service, Griffin Auto. Completely open and vendor neutral, the Griffin API ensures there are no limits on the integration possibilities and 2.1 also further expands cutting device compatibility with the addition of Border Marks, Corner Marks, and substrate thickness reporting. Additional new features such as Uniform Final Size in tiling enhance quality control and expediency while maintaining Griffin’s characteristic ease-of-use.

On the Screen Americas booth, 10951, Tilia Labs’ focus is the new Aries 1.0 step-and-repeat solution for label producers, which was recently introduced at Labelexpo Europe. This has been designed from the ground up to simplify label pre-production. Its simple, intuitive user interface is based on Google standards and design, enabling generation of print ready layouts in minutes. The user can select existing settings or create new impositions, easily adjusting sizes, margins and substrates as required. Artwork files are imported into the layout by simple drag and drop, while dielines can be stored and retrieved, or generated in an instant. Aries is designed to provide the same efficiencies with virtually all printing machines and finishing devices. Its modern, open architecture ensures that it will integrate into any workflow or MIS system and cut across the confusion of proprietary hardware and software.

“PRINTING United is the perfect opportunity to demonstrate one of the key strengths of our solutions, namely a modern, open architecture that ensures seamless integration with virtually any equipment or business system,” says Sagen de Jonge, CEO of Tilia Labs. “This is why we have been able to attract partnerships with some of biggest names in the industry since day one – this, and the fact that our solutions can offer their customers powerful, value-added capabilities with surefire investment returns in record time.”
