Rochester, N.Y. – The global introduction of the P5-350 printer at FESPA - in Munich, Germany (May 2019) – was the proud recipient of the European Digital Press Association (EDP) top award for Flatbed/Hybrid Printer < 250 sqm/h category.

The EDP Technical Committee’s award said particularly noticeable are the further developments in loading and material handling of this production printer that operates at speeds up to 1,290 sq. ft/h.

P5 350 - The New Versatility

With the P5 350 (print width up to 11.5 ft), Durst is expanding its P5 portfolio with this new hybrid solution. The new printing system sets a new standard in flexibility and versatility, as it can print on both roll media and boards.

The P5 350 is the all-in-one hybrid solution for flexible roll and board printing up to 138-inches. The printer is equipped with the Durst Print Workflow software and the monitoring tool Durst Analytics. Durst software turns the printer into a production unit and results in a comprehensive platform. Consultancy, integration services and applications training support to manage this new Durst ecosystem.

LED technology
The P5 350 multi-roll option is using a compact and robust design. The P5 350 offers fast media reel loading by two positions for single and dual rolls and foldable roll tables. It also offers automatic detection of media width and thickness, an intelligent multi-board infeed for up to six boards simultaneously.

With a unique multi-roll option for the P5 350, users can even load rolls during printing to reduce setup times and increase efficiency. The printing systems are equipped with energy-efficient LED technology and are supplied with integrated Durst Workflow Print software and the monitoring tool Durst Analytics.

The P5 350 printer offers the highest print quality of up to 1200 dpi, multi-track options for up to 6 parallel boards, automatic media width and thickness detection, foldable and smooth-running roller tables and a secure ink refill system. This printing system can be equipped with peripheral systems for ¾ automation or full automation.

All P5 printing systems are equipped with the new production software solution Durst Workflow Print and the monitoring tool Durst Analytics. This makes the printer into a production unit from day one. Durst also offers a scalable solution for integrating e-commerce with the Durst Smart Shop. All Durst software can be modularly extended and managed via a web-based user interface.
